Construction:
A custom designed and Professionally built steel hulled houseboat from the well-respected Australian company Houseboat Concepts. A company that specializes in designing and building houseboats used for charter in Australia.
The completed hulls and superstructure components were shipped to New Zealand. Construction was then finished by Houseboat Concepts and the interior fit out completed at Mercer on the Waikato River.
Hulls are steel with alloy cross beams, superstructure alloy framing and protective coated marine ply. Exterior walls with extensive glassed panoramic windows and alloy sheeting over the closed in areas. Decking is finished in Kwila hardwood.
There are extra steel reinforcing or "wear" strips on the sides and keels for added protection when in shallow waters. The Vessel is in MSA survey.
